It’s not about costs when it comes to great coffee, pasties and a relaxing atmosphere to read the new bestseller or study. We created this site because of our love for coffee and books. Besides reading and drinking a little java, we spend a lot of our time with our dogs and preserving flowers.
Every city we visit, one of the first things we do is research a great place to relax and have some coffee while we are there. Syracuse is nothing different and one of our favorite shops is Strong Hearts Cafe on East Genesee St. Strong Hearts Cafe is also considered one the best vegan eateries in Syracuse.

What Have I Read Lately?
We recently got married at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina and one of the best wedding gifts we received was a book called “The Bride & Groom First and Forever Cookbook”. This book and another about How To Preserve Flowers were the best gifts we received. We had never thought about preserving wedding flowers when we were planning.
Bestselling authors Mary Corpening Barber and Sara Corpening Whiteford provide excellent tips on equipment and ingredients to get you started. This is the perfect gift and the only cookbook we will ever need. There are 125 recipes that are mouthwatering and we will definitely be making again. The authors cover everything from brunch to romantic dinners. There are even everyday favorites such as lasagna, grilled chicken and silk chocolate tart that even I could make as a cook lacking experience.
